Het landschapspark veranderde. Er werd ook flink zand afgegraven en op die plekken ontwikkelde zich heide. Utrechts Landschap kocht het gebied aan en herstelde dat zodanig dat er weer ruimte kwam voor specifieke waterplanten en dieren, zoals hagedissen en spinnendoders. De Paltz is dus een veelzijdige omgeving en heerlijk om doorheen te wandelen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De route brengt je over beukenlanen, enorme douglassparren en langs een grote vallei. Wij liepen er \u2018s avonds en zagen telkens zweefvliegtuigjes stijgen, cirkelen en dalen. Halverwege de wandeling kwamen we een groot doolhof tegen van niet al te hoge beukenhagen met in het midden een soort grot. Het is maar een vrij korte wandeling, maar de afwisseling is groot. De bossen zijn prachtig en de vallei is heel erg mooi.
