In Lage Vuursche vind je de Kuil van Drakensteyn. Vanaf de kuil beginnen verschillende wandelroutes. Het was de allereerste mooie dag na een lange winter en heel Utrecht en omstreken was uitgetrokken naar dit stukje bos om op het terras een kopje koffie te drinken. Toen we eenmaal begonnen aan de wandeling, lieten we de drukte al gauw achter ons.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>Het eerste stuk liep het pad door lage begroeiing en konden we nog heel eventjes genieten van het zonnetje, maar al snel liepen we de beschutting van het bos in. Een prachtig bos, met vooral veel hoge dennenbomen. Na een kort stukje bos kwamen we uit op de heide, met een aantal bankjes om op uit te rusten of om even te kijken of er misschien ergens een hert verscholen zat.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>Na de heide en nog een stuk bos kwamen we uit bij het Pluismeer, waar een flinke hoeveelheid verschillende soorten vogels te zien was.
