We waren een weekendje in omgeving Limburg en hadden zin in een wat avontuurlijkere wandeling. In Nationaal Park De Groote Peel in Limburg vonden we een route van 3,2 kilometer: de Knuppelbrug-route. Vanaf het Buitencentrum De Pelen loop je zo de route op, goed aangegeven met rode paaltjes. Het eerste stuk bracht ons direct over gewone paden, met om ons heen heen wat bomen, veel water en riet, waarvandaan je de verschillende vogeltjes hoort. Langs de route lagen veel uitzichtpunten, waar we zo nu en dan even opklommen om te zien of we toch niet een hertje of een grote vogel konden spotten. Helaas zagen we niet veel wild, maar het uitzicht was wel heel mooi en ook een beetje dramatisch door de grijze wolken.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Na een tijdje kon het avontuur dan echt beginnen:\u00a0 het eerste houten vlonder was in zicht. We liepen het pad dat over een drassig moddergebied op en wederom was er aan weerszijden veel riet te bekennen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>Na over wat houten bruggen te hebben gehuppeld, kwamen bij een stuk waar geen vlonderpad was te vinden, maar het wel nodig was geweest. Het was een grote natte modderpoel en nadat we heel even in overweging hadden genomen om er overheen te gaan, zijn we toch weer omgekeerd. Ondanks onze waterdichte wandelschoenen wisten we niet hoe diep het was en we hadden weinig zin in natte voetjes. We werden getrakteerd op nog wat houten bruggetjes en kwamen toen alweer op het pad dat ons naar het buitencentrum bracht.\u00a0 Ondanks het stukje dat ontoegankelijk was, was dit een leuke en niet zo standaard wandeling!<\/p>\n
