Omdat ik niet kon slapen, liep ik deze belachelijk vroeg op een doordeweekse ochtend in maart. De wandeltocht begon een beetje gek, de eerste kilometer liep langs een paar gebouwen en voetbalvelden en was eigenlijk nog niet heel bijzonder, op een zich wezenloos geschrokken hertje na, dat totaal niet begreep waarom het zo vroeg al gestoord werd. Op een bepaald moment stak ik een fietspad over en moest ik een stukje afdalen om vervolgens door de modder, over een moerassig paadje, te ploeteren. Dit begon niet bepaald goed\u2026\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>En toen kwam ik aan op een enorme heide. De opkomende zon benadrukte de mist die langzaam aan het optrekken was. Ik trok langs prachtige vergezichten en de open vlakte kleurde rood met goud en ik hoopte dat de wilde dieren die ik niet kon zien, mij dan zeker w\u00e9l konden zien. Ik liep iets omhoog en mocht datzelfde prachtige gebied ook nog van bovenaf zien.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>Daarna trok ik het bos in en liep ik langs de oude boswachterswoning (die er niet meer staat, maar de put is er nog wel) en de Kuil van Stoop. Deze kuil markeert de plek waar tussen 1833 en 1836 door de Amsterdamse zakenman Johannes Stoop een diepteboring werd gedaan om de bodem te onderzoeken. Ze kwamen tot wel 136 meter diep! Het informatiebordje dat er naast staat gaf ook aan dat er veel verwarring ontstond door gevonden schelpen. In die tijd wisten ze namelijk nog niet dat dit gebied ooit onderdeel van de zee was. Ik vond dit een hele indrukwekkende wandeling, misschien ben ik daarin ook wel een beetje be\u00efnvloed door de prachtige zonsopgang, het arme hertje dat zich kapot schrok en de indrukwekkende hoeveelheid vogels die ik aan de lopende band hoorde. Deze route is zeker een aanrader te noemen.\u00a0<\/p>\n
