De Dierenroute in Zeist is officieel voor kinderen, maar die hebben we eigenlijk helemaal niet gezien. De route brengt je in 2,5 km langs allerlei plekken die met dieren te maken hebben, zowel echte als neppe en dat maakt hem wel heel leuk! De wandeling wordt niet aangegeven op bordjes en kun je lopen aan de hand van een kaartje. Helaas is dit kaartje niet heel erg duidelijk en loop je al snel verkeerd. De bossen in Zeist stellen eigenlijk nooit teleur. Prachtige bomen, veel vogels en niet extreem druk. Deze route start bij Pannenkoekenrestaurant Het Jagershuys en vanaf daar loop je direct het bos in. \u00c9\u00e9n van de eerste dieren die je tegenkomt zijn de Manenschapen, een soort Noord-Afrikaanse bokken met indrukwekkende hoorns. Helaas wilden ze niet op de foto, hoe goed we ze ook imiteerden.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>We staken een gezellig bruggetje over en liepen lange lanen af naar het Bisonveld. Jammer genoeg staan hier geen bizons, maar dit is wel een groot speelveld. Als je vervolgens de (nogal drukke) weg oversteekt, kom je uit bij een hertenkamp. Deze mag je (met speciale instructies) ook voeren.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>Het stuk bos aan deze kant van de weg is heel anders. Het voelt minder aangelegd aan en je loopt hier ook langs een watertje richting de Boswerf. Als je daar even van het pad afwijkt, staan daar twee prachtige zinken herten op een rotsformatie. Die mag je niet missen als je dit rondje loopt! Tot slot steek je de weg weer over en loop je terug naar het pannenkoekenhuis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>Een heel leuk rondje door de bossen van Zeist, waarin je zonder veel meters af te leggen helemaal de natuur in kan duiken. Het is alleen jammer dat je de Grote Weg steeds hoort en zelfs een paar keer moet oversteken. Onze tip: bij het pannenkoekenhuis lijkt het erop dat je moet betalen om te parkeren. Het is eigenlijk handiger om dan de route te starten bij de parkeerplaats van het hertenkamp.<\/p>\n
