Aan het begin van een frisse ochtend arriveerden we bij natuurgebied Kampina, een uitgestrekt en veelzijdig landschap tussen Oisterwijk en Boxtel. Dit gebied werd in 1904 door de familie van Tienhoven aangekocht, die 800 hectare grond overnamen, waaronder ook het witte Huize Kampina. De wandeling was gemarkeerd met bruine pijltjes en begon bij de parkeerplaats aan de Hamsestraat. Het begin van de wandeling liep langs open velden, waar we al snel een kleine kudde runderen zagen. Het pad voerde ons verder langs de uitgestrekte heide, met een panoramisch uitzicht en een lucht met dramatische tinten blauw en grijs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Na ongeveer twee kilometer waren we het er over eens dat de route een beetje saai begon te worden, we hadden die open heiden nu wel gezien. Net toen we ons afvroegen of het nog zou veranderen, werden we verrast door een stuk bos met hoge naaldbomen met verschillende kleuren groen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Verderop veranderde het landschap weer en liepen we langs een kabbelend beekje, dat omringd werd door weelderige begroeiing en bomen waarvan de takken van sommige in het water waren gevallen. Niet veel later wandelden we over een pad met rijen eikenbomen, waarvan de grond bezaaid was met de gekleurde gevallen bladeren. Daarna liepen we terug naar het beginpunt. Helaas hebben we niet de reetjes en ijsvogel kunnen spotten die zich ook in dit gebied bevinden, maar we sloten de wandeling toch met een tevreden gevoel af!<\/span><\/p>\n
