Het was weekend, toen we de auto parkeerden op een heel klein parkeerplaatsje langs een grote weg. \u201cIs dit het?\u201d vroeg ik Josien verbaasd. We liepen een klein trapje op langs een watervalletje en zagen daar de bewegwijzering. De route die we zouden lopen was 2,8 km, maar er lopen ook nog andere routes die een stuk langer zijn. Het eerste stuk dat we liepen was door een nogal donker stuk van het bos en behoorlijk steil omhoog, zeker voor Nederland. Dit was eerlijk gezegd niet echt leuk. Ik ben niet echt fan van steil omhoog, maar er was ook nog eens een saai stukkie. En bovendien waren er heel erg veel mensen die lekker een pannenkoek gingen eten boven op de berg. Trappetjes leidden ons tot de top van de berg. We hadden echt even zin in een flink uitzicht, maar helaas werd de top omringd door heggen en konden we dus eigenlijk helemaal niets zien. Beetje jammer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/span>Toen we eenmaal voorbij het pannenkoekenhuis waren, net voorbij de top, werd de route gelukkig een stuk beter. Allereerst werd het veel rustiger en veranderde het landschap ook steeds. Soms een stuk weiland, dan weer een vallei en ook wel erg veel bos. Deze route op de Duivelsberg is best een leuke route, maar het begin is echt even doorploeteren. Het is wel bijzonder om wat hoogtemeters te maken in Nederland natuurlijk en deze natuur, met de valleien en dit type bossen, is heel typerend voor de omgeving, dus ook wel bijzonder om te ontdekken. Maar om eerlijk te zijn zou ik zweren dat ik veel meer heb geklommen dan afgedaald.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
