In het hartje van de binnenstad van Utrecht start \u00e9\u00e9n van de bekendste en mooiste wandelroutes van de provincie: het Kromme Rijnpad. In 29 kilometer loop je vanaf het Ledig Erf langs deze rivier naar Wijk bij Duurstede (of andersom) en bereik je zomaar opeens de grens met Gelderland. Een flinke tocht, maar wel door prachtige landschappen en langs leuke plaatsjes waar je anders misschien nooit zou komen.<\/p>\n

<\/b>Op een zonnige dag in februari startte ik deze wandeltocht in het centrum van Utrecht, waar de terrassen afgeladen waren met mensen die geen seconde van deze eerste lente-achtige dag wilden missen. Al snel liet ik de stad achter me en liep ik via het prachtige Jaagpad door de bossen van Rhijnauwen. Ook hier zag ik verschillende terrasjes waarop ik neer kon ploffen voor een heerlijk kopje koffie, maar ik ploeterde verder omdat ik nog een behoorlijk eind te gaan had (en stiekem best laat op de dag begonnen was). Vanaf Bunnik viel het pad voor een paar kilometer wat tegen. Hoewel het wel grappig was om onder verschillende bruggetjes door te moeten bukken, zag ik toch behoorlijk veel industrie, elektriciteitsmasten en -kabels, terwijl ik dat niet helemaal verwacht had bij dit beroemde wandelpad, waar de provincie Utrecht zo trots op is. Gelukkig liep ik al vrij snel weer langs landerijen en door de bossen rondom Kasteel Beverweerd. Het pad leidt je verder nog door het uitgestorven maar mooie Werkhoven en langs Cothen. Uiteindelijk kom je uit in het historische Wijk bij Duurstede, tegenover de enige molen in Nederland waar je onderdoor kunt lopen.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Een flink minpunt van de route is de provinciale weg die toch wel erg vlak langs de route loopt. Soms loop je er zelfs even overheen! Je hoort bijna de hele tijd het geluid van de voorbij rijdende auto\u2019s op deze drukke weg. Het verkeer is nooit echt ver weg. Al met al een hele leuke route als je van water en rivierlandschappen houdt. Na 29 kilometer was ik daar zelf wel een klein beetje op uitgekeken, maar smaken verschillen natuurlijk! Kasteel Beverweerd was een leuke afwisseling en het is leuk om de sfeer in Utrecht, Bunnik, Werkhoven en Wijk bij Duurstede te kunnen proeven. Toch kent de route ook wat minpunten, zoals het verkeer op de achtergrond, dat je soms over de grote weg moet en de industriegebieden waar je langs moet. W\u00e9l is het Kromme Rijnpad een ideale route voor iemand die voor het eerst een langere afstand wil lopen: de bus is nooit ver weg! <\/span><\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.24.2″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]
