Aan het eind van een regenachtige morgen liepen we een korte route van 2,28 km over Landgoed Oud Groevenbeek, nabij Ermelo. Er loopt een rode route, deze is specifiek ingericht voor blinden en slechtzienden en zeer toegankelijk voor mensen in een rolstoel. Wij volgden echter de gele pijlen, omdat die langs een landhuis, een eeuwenoude kas en een watertoren liep, die wij wel even van dichterbij wilden bekijken.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

De route begint dwars door een bos met brede lanen, waarover je af en toe kunt doorkijken naar het torentje van het landhuis. Omdat het regende, was het bos extra groen en rook het extra lekker. Door het gebied zijn een aantal grafheuvels te vinden. Deze zijn gemaakt in de periode tussen 2500 en 1500 voor Christus en zijn door Natuurmonumenten hersteld. Dat betekent dat de heuvels boomvrij gemaakt zijn en dus niet meer aangetast worden door de wortels. Als je goed om je heen kijkt, kun je er vijf terugvinden. Wij hebben niet zo heel goed opgelet en kwamen er maar \u00e9\u00e9n tegen. Oeps.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Na een schattig bruggetje over \u00e9\u00e9n van de zogenaamde \u2018sprengen\u2019 en een rondje om een groot veld, kwamen we uit bij het landhuis Oud Groevenbeek. Dit landhuis is gebouwd in 1907 in Jugendstil. Schuin tegenover staat een grote druivenkas, waar al een ruime eeuw druiven gekweekt worden voor wijn. Daarachter is in de verte een watertoren te zien, die eruitziet alsof Doornroosje er in ligt te slapen. Al een tijdje, want het ziet er ook een beetje donker uit. Blijkbaar zijn er verschillende soorten vleermuizen te zien, maar die hebben we niet voorbij zien vliegen (waarschijnlijk omdat we er midden op de dag waren).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Een kort maar krachtig rondje. Veel te zien in maar een paar kilometer en alle hoogtepunten komen met een fijne toelichting van Natuurmonumenten. Het bos is prachtig en zelfs met regen (en paraplu) is deze wandeling goed te doen. Omdat het zo\u2019n korte route is, is het het misschien te veel van het goede om er heel ver voor om te rijden, maar mocht je in de buurt zijn, dan is deze wandeling het zeker waard!<\/p>\n
