De Oostvaarderplassen zijn het paradijs voor vogelspotters. Op een warme dag met dramatische wolken, liepen wij wandelroute Zeearend, een wandeling van vijf kilometer die je door het natuurgebied leidt en je de mogelijkheid geeft om verschillende vogels te ontdekken. De route start bij Buitencentrum Oostvaardersplassen (Kitsweg 1, pas op, er zijn er twee!). Hier smaakt de koffie prima en kun je tientallen vogelboekjes kopen. Om de route te lopen volg je de groene bordjes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

Flevoland is natuurlijk ongelooflijk plat, daarnaast groeien er maar weinig echte bomen in het gebied. Dat betekent dat de lucht een groot deel van het uitzicht uitmaakt. Het is dus het leukst om de routes in dit gebied te wandelen wanneer het van dat oer-Hollandse weer is: met af en toe een zonnetje en soms een donkere wolk. Je loopt vijf kilometer lang door een uitgestrekte polder met riet en gras en bloemen. Het is maar weinig afwisselend, dus als je niet heel warm wordt van vogels, dan is dit misschien niet jouw wandeling.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Langs de route staan verschillende hutten om vogels te bekijken. Deze zijn vaak ook echt de moeite waard. Vooral om Vogelkijkhut de Zeearend kun je eigenlijk echt niet heen. Deze is twee verdiepingen hoog en op beide verdiepingen staan grote verrekijkers waarmee je van alles kunt spotten. Toen wij er waren, zagen we een enorm edelhert in de verte en een bruine kiekendief. Bovendien woont er een zeearendpaartje, dus als je geluk hebt zie je die misschien ook zelfs voorbij vliegen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In de stilte van de Oostvaardersplassen kom je binnen no-time tot rust. Het is er rustig, je hoort overal vogels en het waait er bijna altijd, wat zorgt voor van die fijne ritselingen van het riet. De wandeling is niet te lang en niet te kort, maar wij vonden hem wel weinig afwisselend. Als je vogels helemaal niet interessant vindt, kun je deze wandeling beter even overslaan, maar als je er graag over wil leren, dan komen hier voldoende sociale vogelspotters die je met alle liefde vertellen wat nou precies een kluut, een grutto of een lepelaar is!

Let wel op<\/strong>, in de winter en het vroege voorjaar is het gebied de Driehoek gesloten voor beheer en doet het gebied dienst als rustgebied voor de grote grazers.
